The Soviet War Memorial Treptower was built after the end of WW2, to serve as a memorial and a resting place for soviet soldiers who died in the battle for Berlin. The large monument shows a complex history and is an example of soviet grandeur. Listen to hear more about the memorial and it’s history.
The site depicts many architectural elements and sculptures and can be found in Treptower Park. A visit to the location is sure to provide more insight into the complicated history and the location as a memorial.
